Renovate,
or move?
Six honest questions that will tell you which direction makes more sense for your house, your life, and your wallet. Under two minutes. No email required.
Q1 · The neighbourhood
Question 1 of 6
How do you feel about the neighbourhood you live in?
Why we built this
Sometimes the right renovation decision is to not renovate.
Every year we turn away a handful of projects where, after the site visit, we tell the owner we do not think the renovation makes sense for them. The house is fundamentally wrong. The neighbourhood is not where they want to stay. The scope of work required to get where they want to go exceeds the cost of moving.
We would rather have that conversation before we quote than after we start. This quiz is a self-diagnostic, answer honestly and you will know which direction to lean before the first contractor visit.
It is not a replacement for a site visit. Real numbers, what your house will sell for, what a replacement costs, what the renovation actually costs, come from your realtor, mortgage broker, and us. But this sets up which questions to ask first.

Either way
Whatever the quiz told you, we can help.
If the answer is renovate, we quote it honestly. If the answer is move, we tell you the same thing when we walk the property. That is the value of a site visit.
