How we renovate

One company. Every trade. One accountable team.

Whether it is a kitchen that has not been touched since the 1990s, a bathroom where the shower needs to come out before the rot behind the tile goes any further, a basement you want to turn into a legal secondary suite, or a full-home transformation, every Huntley renovation gets the same treatment. Honest scope, a line-item quote, a schedule we intend to keep, and a job site clean enough to live in. Because most of our clients do. We work in occupied homes in Chilliwack every week.

Construction, Red Seal electrical, framing, and Red Seal plumbing all sit under one roof at Huntley. That means your project manager runs the framing, the wiring, and the plumbing because they are all Huntley crews. Fewer scheduling conflicts. Zero finger-pointing. A finished renovation that holds together a decade later because one company built every layer, and that same company is still the number to call if something needs attention.

Honest numbers

What a Chilliwack renovation actually costs.

Most contractors will not publish real numbers. We will, because clients who understand costs make better decisions. These are typical Chilliwack and Fraser Valley ranges. Your final quote is line-itemed after a site visit.

Kitchen

$30K – $150K+

Layout changes, cabinetry grade, and appliance selection drive most of the range.

Bathroom

$15K – $75K+

Tile complexity, shower build, fixture quality, and whether the layout changes.

Basement Suite

$100K – $150K

Legal suite code requirements: egress, fire separation, sub-panel, full kitchen.

Whole-Home

$150K – $650K+

Scope, finish grade, and mechanical upgrades. Cosmetic refresh to down-to-studs.

Typical Chilliwack project ranges, not quotes. Actual pricing depends on scope, site conditions, materials, and existing systems. We give you a real line-item number after the site visit.

How we work

Our renovation
process.

01

Site visit & scope

We come to your home, walk the space, listen to what you are actually trying to fix, and tell you what it will realistically take. Honest feasibility, rough budget range, and a clear picture of the day-to-day disruption.

02

Detailed quote

A real line-item quote. Not a low-ball number that grows through change orders. You see where every dollar is going before you sign. Allowances are minimized because vague allowances are where scope slips start.

03

Build & finish

Construction, Red Seal electrical, and Red Seal plumbing run under one project manager. Daily cleanup. Weekly updates. Your home stays liveable while we work. Inspections handled, trade permits pulled directly.

04

Walkthrough & warranty

We walk every room together before handover and resolve any deficiencies. Then the 12-month Huntley Workmanship Commitment begins, covering every trade that touched the project. Manufacturer warranties layer on top.

The Huntley Workmanship Commitment.

Renovation FAQs

Before you sign with anyone.

The questions every Chilliwack homeowner asks us at the site visit, answered here so you can skip a call.

  • Honest ranges: kitchen renovations run $30K to $150K+ depending on scope. Bathroom renovations run $15K to $75K+. Legal basement suites run $100K to $150K. Whole-home renovations run $150K to $650K+. The biggest cost drivers are scope, finish grade, whether the layout changes, and whether older mechanical systems need upgrading. Final quote is line-itemed after the site visit.
  • A single bathroom runs 3 to 8 weeks. A kitchen runs 4 to 10 weeks. A basement finish runs 6 to 16 weeks (legal suites on the longer end). Whole-home renovations run 3 to 12 months. We commit to a schedule in writing and hold to it because our Red Seal electricians and plumbers are Huntley employees, not subcontractors who can bail on us at their next job.
  • Either Huntley or you, agreed at the start of the project. When we pull them, our in-house electrical and plumbing divisions handle trade permits directly, which is faster than a GC waiting on a sub-trade. Typical residential permit processing in Chilliwack currently runs around 10 weeks, which we build into the project timeline.
  • Usually yes. We work in occupied homes every week. We contain dust with zip-walls, clean the site daily, and plan the schedule around which rooms you need access to. Full down-to-studs whole-home renovations sometimes require you to move out because heating, water, or power gets shut down in overlapping stages. We tell you honestly at the site visit.
  • If you find an installation issue within 12 months of project completion, we come back and fix it. No cost, no argument. That applies to every trade: construction, electrical, plumbing, tile, finishing. Manufacturer warranties on fixtures and materials run on top of that. The 12-month Huntley Workmanship Commitment starts from project handover.
  • The first payment is a deposit on a signed contract, and that deposit is always under 15 percent of contract value. Progress payments are tied to milestones, not calendar dates, so you pay as work is genuinely done.
  • Both. If you are already working with an interior designer or architect, we work alongside them as your execution partner and honor their design intent. If you are starting from scratch, we can recommend designers we have worked with across the Fraser Valley. We do not force a design-build process unless that is genuinely what you want.
  • Chilliwack is our home market and where most of our work happens: Sardis, Vedder Crossing, Promontory, Garrison Crossing, Yarrow, Greendale, Rosedale, Downtown Chilliwack, Fairfield Island, Little Mountain, and Cultus Lake. We also take projects in Agassiz, Abbotsford, Mission, and Hope. Browse our service area pages for specifics on your neighborhood.
  • Three things. First, our Red Seal electricians and Red Seal plumbers are Huntley employees, not subcontractors, which removes the main coordination failure point on renovations. Second, our quotes are line-item with minimized allowances, so the number you sign is the number that finishes the project. Third, every project gets the 12-month Huntley Workmanship Commitment covering every trade that worked on the home.
